I probably over kill on cleanliness and keeping no drops in temps ever. But yet ganjoe still seems to have loose smelly stool, and sometimes clings on to vent. I feed him collards daily, roaches, and sometimes mustard greens. There is'nt a vet up here that knows bearded dragon's, so my question is what can I get for him or do for him that the vet would. I've seen discussions on giving Acidophiliz+ probiotic , when their not pooping and Jumpstart to stimulate apetite afterward..But nothing on what the vet would do, their not magicians whatever they can do I can do. I've studied all of my reptiles but this just seems out of place, I thought bearded dragon's were much hardier than this.....O and i give him baths almost once daily.
That may be an answer to the smell, but what causes the runny part.....I bought the mustards because I read something on them cutting down the poo smell. so far it seems a joke...lol. please. anyone else have any input?
Parasite can cause loose, smelly stool. You really need to get a sample to a vet and have it tested. Sometimes a regular vet will run the tests, they just might not know quite what to do for any parasites they do find. Many can be treated with panacur which can be bought over the counter but some require prescription meds.
