Small but hard lump on my beardies back

So the other day I was sitting down with my bearded dragon and I notice a small bump on his back/lower neck area and it freaks me out. Tried going to reddit but I have been in their mod queue for 2 days cause I don’t really use reddit LOL. WILL ATTACH PHOTOS TRUST.

For info regarding his set up. I live at home so getting an upgrade has made progress and within a couple month my baby should be going from a silly 40 gallon to a perfect 120 gallon terrarium 😋 He has recently been put on a loose substrate of 50/50 topsoil and play sand. He is being upgraded cause my family are understanding his needs more rather than shrugging me off about it!

So, what may this be? Does it need vet attention?

Hi there , can you get a picture from above that area ? It looks like some type of small cyst or abcess, it will need a vet if it gets bigger but you can schedule one now [ be sure it would be a good reptile vet ] or wait to see if this goes down. You can apply a warm wet compress to it to see if it will go down.

It's pretty small, does it bother her at all ? Probably not but try to get a very warm compress on it, although she'll probably try to squiggle away. :) But if it keeps growing then schedule a vet visit.

Thank you for such speedy responses. I have touched it to see if it causes him any pain or discomfort and he only looks at me like I’m a fool LOL. I will try to warm compress and look for a vet appointment if it keeps growing! Thank you 🙏

Hello,

It is most likely an abscess or cyst. As suggested, keep an eye on the area to be sure that it doesn't get
any larger & become infected. You can also try putting some raw unpasteurized honey on the area, too.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
