i trim sir henry's when needed. once he's asleep at night, he is OUT solid. i bring him out to my desk, cover his face with a cloth/towel/washcloth, and then trim him one hand/foot at a time using a light on my phone to see. i give a break inbetween in case he starts waking up, which lets him settle back down again. i'm sure other people have different ways of doing it, but this works for us.

you only need to trim the long thin part, not back further. probably plenty of videos of that on here.

i have no answer for the hammock part of your post. we don't use one.

I wasn't saying it's for sure a hazard, just to watch and make sure they don't get snagged.
Even the seagrass hammocks it's the claws you have to be careful of. If the claws snag it can break their toes.
If you trim his claws look closely and you'll see the very tip has a hooked very sharp point. Kinda like a cat. Thatcis ALL you need to trim off. Don't go any farther back then that.
Another thingvyou canbdo is put a flat piece of stone on his habitat. Sandstone, limestone, basalt ect. Make sure there is no sharp edges. Your dragon will wear the tips off on his own.

alright guys safe to say my bearded dragon does not like the heat pad. He every so slightly wiggle closer and closer to me and off the pad during nap time
My guys do that sometimes also. Sometimes they are to warm and want to be cooler, sometimes they just like snuggling under my chin. If they are to warm they usually move over on my shoulder, if they want to be cuddled they move to under my chin.

I wouldn't take a dragon out of the terrarium if he's warming up before going to sleep. And I wouldn't do it too often when he's still little. But if he's not and he doesn't mind being held before going to sleep, you can try what I do. When Foxy falls asleep on my chest under the blanket, he's definitely not cold, I move him an hour after he falls asleep and he warms up really well from the human body, eventually I put a warm pie in the terrarium lol.
A warm pie? explain please

Okay, well speaking about sleep time... Since some days I have to be gone all day, & when I get home its time to turn off his lights, I felt guilty. So, I've started bringing him out right when I get home & then setting him his little bed box (with towels to lay on). It fits perfectly underneath the lap tray where my computer is, which always stays on the bed. I just let him sleep there so he stays with me. Might there be any problems with doing this? He stays put with eyes closed till I pick him up usually, (today he opened his eyes when I put the light on).

There shouldn't be any problems.
I have cat hammocks I put mine in sometimes if I can't sit with them. Never had any issues.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
