My last post here was in early 2013 when I brought home my little Nessie at 9weeks old. Here we are over 10 years later and this week I made the decision to let her fall asleep forever as we discovered recently she had inoperable cancer. I'm heartbroken but this was the kindest thing I could do for her since her quality of life was going downhill. I'm so sad as I write this but relieved that she is at peace. What a wonderful life she had. I was able to spend quality time with her before today, I got some beautiful clay footprints and a little cast of her tail which I will cherish. I collect her ashes next week. Nessie was my first bearded dragon, she taught me so much and what amazing little characters reptiles can be. Who could have imagined having a cuddle buddy who's a tiny dinosaur! She loved outdoors in summer, was well travelled, even sailed on a boat! She was part of the neighbourhood watch scheme (being nosy at the window 😂) and was the laziest, most spoiled girl. Nessie, I will never forget you and I hope you are basking in beardie paradise right now with all the morioworms you can eat! Love you forever noodle! Mummy x I have hundreds of photos and videos of her, but these are a few of my favourite. I hope you can see her little character shine through in them.
