Hi everyone,
I got my bd in September of last year, and I was told he was about 4-5 months old. Since then he has grown from 10 inches to over 17 inches. I estimate he's about 10 months old at this point. I am curious about his size. I though he was pretty big, until I went back to the place where I got him and there was a monster BD there. The head on this thing was like a baseball. The owner of the shop said that this BD was also under a year. It was a light tan/sand color, which makes me think it might have been a german giant...anyway, I'm wondering if my BD is about the right size for his age. I have googled, and I see a range from 15-24 inches for a grown adult on some sites. I know they don't really stop growing, but they slow down drastically past a certain age. What age is that?
Another thing. My bd has also been slowing down a little lately. He doesn't come running for his supers like he used to. I also notice that he's spending more time under the basking spot than on it. I read the sticky and I see that these are common signs of brumation. I also checked my calendar and I see that my UVB (reptisun10.0) will be 6 months old in 2 weeks. He has eaten every day, and I skipped a day to see if he would be more hungry (he was). Any cause for concern?
