Yes, we are incredibly happy that he started to wake up and we are afraid of "scaring away luck". That's why we run around him and it seems he is not very happy with such attention to himself lol. Today is already evening, and during the day he got a hornworm and two locusts! Before that, he ate only one cockroach (this was before the incident with the rug). He was very happy with the locusts - this is his favorite treat lol.
I'm glad he is eating. Sinatra is still giving me trouble.
I have figured out how to make him eat some though. It's not exactly force feeding but close.
I pull down his lip and start the dubia in the gap and slide it forward. At some point he'll go on andceat it.

Wow! I would be very worried too if Foxy refused to eat. Do you weigh him? Is there any change in weight?

I haven't in a few weeks, I've been feeding him critical care since he woke up. He'll eat that readily. I've gotten 10 dubias in him in the last two days so I'm going to see if that triggers him to start eating. The dubias where xl size so that was quite a bit of mass. He has been pooping regularly so I'm not worried about impaction or anything like that.
For him and Zsa Zsa both I'm going to drop a poop sample at the vet in the next little bit just because. I have never had either checked and am going to just do it preemptively.

That sounds like a good plan.
They sure know how to make us nervous.
If my memory serves me right, he likes hornworms? He refuses them?

That used to be all he would eat, now they are really hit or miss also.
If it were any other dragon I'd be straight to the vet, but he has always been a little different and weird. I'm going to keep working with him for a bit longer to see if he'll self-correct
I'm going to try to get him to gape so I can check inside his mouth to make sure nothing is amiss there also.

He seems to love having room to spread out lol.

Christina said he has been up and down the ramp multiple times today also. That means he understands where his basking is so that's one less worry 🙂

I'm going to find some kind of small perch so he can see out the lower part of the window also

Wow! This is a perfect split! Looks like Sinatra is in good shape lol.
This is good.

By the way, Foxy has the opposite situation, he stopped climbing the ramp to his basking area. He doesn't mind jumping and climbing, but he likes to bask without climbing the ramp under the light spot on the floor, maybe he doesn't like that the wood of the ramp is too slippery. Because of all this, I even had to lower his UV lamp lower. In January, I will also review the organization of his space in the terrarium, I already have several ideas.

Oh I can't wait to see the revamp 🙂
Zen wouldn't climb for basking a whole lot I usually had to arrange it so it was warm enough toward the floor also. Oddly though he did want to climb to head bob or gain vantage to see if he was out.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! We’re the same age! That’s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
Luna is thriving
