Sinatra has gotten to big for his ledges, to be honest he has been for a while but he loved them so much I hated to take them away. The time has come though that they had to go, so I revamped his entire habitat.
He has better basking options now and also better uvb options.
He is a little mad about it though. He climbed down and went in his hide. I'm guessing because it's familiar to him ๐Ÿค” It and his sandstone are all that is original.
That components are all screwed together so nothing can shift or fall. The top piece is anchored with screws and washers that go through the habitat walls. (The advantage of a wooden habitat)
Comments and constructive criticism are welcome to ๐Ÿ™‚
(Mean criticism will be met with a shrug and the bird ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„โ˜ โ˜  lol)

Oh I moved the hide, it was to close to the doors. After what happened with Snickers I'm extremely cautious of any setup that has a place they can get wedged.

Looks great, I love the natural wood pieces !
Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š
I prefer the natural stuff also. And that top piece is plenty wide enough for him to turn/move around without falling.

I like the new design! Now Sinatra needs to weigh in. :D
I know you have some nice sandstone slabs, I couldn't see them in the photo. Maybe that should be added too, so Sinatra can groom his claws.
I placed the sandstone at the bottom of the ramp so he has to cross it to go up top.๐Ÿ™‚
The piece is long enough for him to drag his pores across also if he chooses.

Where is his soft bed? Has he stopped using it?

Foxy started waking up and is very grumpy now. A week ago we put his towel on the sand, from which we make a burrito after bathing, just to see how he likes it. He was very happy and started to sleep on this towel every night. We were very happy about this circumstance and decided to replace the towel with a fur rug - it is softer and has a long pile, it is a great bed, we thought. Foxy saw this and was SO OFFENDED that he went into his cave and did not come out for 2 days. I even thought that he continued brumation. Yesterday we returned his towel and today he came out of the cave on his own for the first time and went to warm up.๐Ÿคž As you can see, this is a relevant topic for me, that's why I had a question about Sinatra's bed lol.

I take them out through the day so they have more floor space. His hide does have a soft bottom though if he wants to use it.

They can be so danged picky.
When I put Sinatra back in his habitat yesterday he bolted straight in his hide and wouldn't come out. This morning he climbed the ramp and found a dip up top the fits his belly. He was basking happily when I left for work.
Is Foxy out of brumation completely now? I bet you guys are happy about that if he is. Even a grumpy beardie is better than a brumating beardie ๐Ÿ˜„
It will be good seeing pictures of him again. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, we are incredibly happy that he started to wake up and we are afraid of "scaring away luck". That's why we run around him and it seems he is not very happy with such attention to himself lol. Today is already evening, and during the day he got a hornworm and two locusts! Before that, he ate only one cockroach (this was before the incident with the rug). He was very happy with the locusts - this is his favorite treat lol.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! Weโ€™re the same age! Thatโ€™s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
