Sinatra got a raise, Zsa Zsa moved out, and Stumpy got an upgrade.

You are very much a hands on guy and if you don't have or get anything you like, you will just make it yourself. ChilieanTaco also. So very useful skills and mindsets, it is so nice to take inspiration from that :)

I've seen pictures of your setup, your very hands on also. Your habitats are awesome 👌
To be honest the thread that discusses how you spaced yours is where I got the idea how to build mine.
After getting chrores done, I'm hoping to hit the hardware store for better cord options and to get my front panel installed.

So I got my panels installed today, also reworked my cords. They aren't perfect but much better. All in all I'm happy with it.
I also rearranged Stumpy's habitat. It's less cluttered now. Much more floor space.

Holy....now that is one amazing setup. Hopefully you have a nice chair or sofa in that room because that would be the room of the house where I'd spend most of the time. Lovely!
How do your Dragons like it so far?

I agree with Chris, this is the main room in the house now! The terrariums look great.
Tell me, did you have a problem with the doors of the top terrarium sagging in the center? I remember Chris solved this problem with a metal frame.

Thank you 🙂
Actually everyone seems much happier.
Both the pc and the laptop are in that room. Christina works from home now so she gets to spend all day with them.

I remembered @Chris having to adjust for that so when I penciled mine out I did so with that in mind.
At the bottom on the sides and back I used 2-1/2 inch wide 1 by's to rest on top of the lower tank. I studded it sort of like framing in a house, and topped it with a 1/4 inch 48x24 inch ocb board so it has support in the middle and sheilds much of the heat off the upper tank.
The new Zens have an option to dowel the corners so I made a template and drilled the spacer and doweled it so it can't scoot.
The whole thing only weighs 8 to 10 lbs.
Tomorrow I have to set up a probe inside to make sure I don't have to much heat building up. I did arrange the vent holes higher and lower to promote natural drafting but if it's to hot I'll either enlarge the vents or add in a couple small fans to move the air.

Sounds like you did put quite a lot of thought into this.
You should be fine with the stability, I think as my tanks are quite a bit bigger/longer and the top one is filled with sand so it is very heavy. Btw. my sliding doors are still sliding but I can't get them out anymore since the stacking. The frames did bend quite a bit I guess....

I wish I had room for habitats as large as yours. I believe the more room we can give them the better. Also bigger means more options for decore. I love they way yours are setup. they look pretty awesome.
I've got some really cool driftwood pieces but they just won't fit, or if I did use them there would be no room left foor floor space.

You are right but I think I might have gone one smaller if those german laws wouldn't force me to get those 210GAL....
Your setup is sweet anyway and it doesn't sound like your guys abd gurls are missing the extra space. Probably because you take good care of them and let them out often.

I have read this (and for this reason decided for a similar size for my dragon's enclosure).
My question: Is this actually checked, and if, by whom? Like, need to show a picture of the enclosure, or proof of purchase of enclosure, when buying a dragon? (Similarly to certain species are not sold individually but only as pairs or one has to proof that already another one exist who's mate has died.) Or checked during a home visit like for some animals that count as dangerous?
Or only causing problems if somebody reports it? Like the vet becoming aware that a dragon is housed in a tiny tank?

(No, my question does not imply one should not follow these laws when it's rarely controlled maybe. I'm just asking out of curiosity as I'm German, but never owned a bearded dragon in Germany.)

They do get out every day 🙂
210 gallons each would be awesome though. When we finally build on our ranch they will probably get custom much bigger homes.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
