Long story short-kind woman takes in female bearded dragon missing half her tail. Female beardie lays 20 eggs. Thank goodness kind woman is a science teacher and has incubators lying around her house. Only one out of the 20 have survived to day 55.
This is day 55 and I can no longer see veins in the egg and I am worried. The egg is sweating also which has not been a problem before. Have any of you had eggs that hatched where you could not see the "veins" in the egg anymore? I just want this one to make it....
Yep, sweating is a good sign, and when the baby is ready to hatch you can't see anything in the egg at all as the baby is taking it all up. I'd say your baby is getting close to hatching.
Thanks for your expertise! What concerned me was not being able to see the veins anymore in the eggs! I don't know if I can wait 15-20 more days. This is torture.

I know right? One lone egg. When I got her she looked okay but I do not feel she should have been bred. Since I have had her she has gotten tasty treats like roaches, supers, hornworms, waxworms, reptiworms, you name it. Not to mention fresh dandelion and turnip greens. Her previous owner-no live bugs. I'm not kidding. Her color improved dramatically and then it seemed she started getting really fat. I just thought I was a good mommy and I was making her chunky. She was last with a male in December right before I adopted her and she laid her first clutch on March 8th.
She laid a second clutch 5 weeks later-22 eggs. Out of these 22 only three look healthy; veins and embryos moving. I wonder if there is a correlation between "stored sperm" and viability of eggs. That would be an interesting study.
And upload the photos to photo bucket and use one of the codes there.. I think its the img code.. I cant remember, just hit preview on here to make sure the photos show up before submitting
So my egg does not look good. It has been almost 4 days since it started to dent and it has been getting darker and darker with mold. I will post a picture later. We are at day 64.....I was really rooting for this one lone egg to hatch.....
