Sick after a vet visit

Brought my guy to the vet for a general health check on 1/16, wasn't anything wrong (eating normal, poop normal, etc) just wanted to get him checked as he's still young.
Vet didn't see/hear (heart/breathing) anything wrong.
However, since the visit he's developed diarrhea (started the morning of 1/17) and isn't eating much.
Message left with vet.

I soaked him the 16th, haven't since. I thought it was too much water (he drank a fare share). Going on too long to be that now I think.
He's also having a difficult time getting his tail shed off.
Stress from the visit and/or the shed?
Told they almost all have some pinworms, could it be the stress of the visit causing a flare?

While waiting for the vet (really don't want to bring him in again, its -13F outside right now. Any suggestions? Should I keep offering food or hold off I guess is my first question.

Did the vet give him a enema?

I raised many hundreds of beardies and I would not recommend taking a healthy baby to a vet. People feel that it's good to do but in reality a vet may be a huge gamble when it comes to accurate knowledge about beardies. You can't take a blood test for a baby or examine them in any meaningful way and no need to open their mouth or anything so it's pretty much a waste of time. A heavy handed person can drop them or hurt them during exam. Especially now in the cold, please don't take your baby out. Of course if there was an emergency then you'd go. Once they are in the 12" range it's O.K , but ONLY if you have a true reptile vet.
Shedding is going to happen naturally, the internet is full of misinformation as to " stuck shed ", Taking too long, etc. And it is not uncomfortable or stressful, it is normal for them. The only time to be concerned is if a bit of shed tightens around like a rubber band , cutting off circulation.

Thanks, my time machine is on back order though.

Ah but your snarky joke machine is out of order.

Anyway, yes you can still try to feed him. Skip baths though unless he's dirty, just use a syringe, eye dropper or spray bottle to drip a little water on his snout for hydration.

:) You are probably right in most cases, I think it was a blessing though. He was so full of worms (couldn't have gotten them there of course) he needed the meds they gave me. I thought he was doing okay eating wise until I got the worms taken care of (many came out). NOW WOW, eating machine compared to before.

Weighing in at 110g ~13inches long @ ~18 weeks old. Full of crickets here,

Am sorry for the snark, was worried. I had just lost my oscar of 9yrs and was upset he was going to die on me.

So did you take him back after your original post and the vet determined he had parasites? Or did the vet find parasites on your initial visit and prescribed you medications? Sorry was just a bit confused on the timeline.

So your dragon has been cleared of parasites, right? Good news if so.

And I do have to agree with AHBD, dragons shouldn't be taken in to the vet unless there is an actual health concern that needs a vets diagnosis. Not all vets keep their rooms clean like you'd expect for a human dr. It wouldn't be uncommon for a healthy dragon to go to the vet and be exposed to parasites due to unclean surfaces. Sometimes the stress along of the vet is enough to cause the naturally occuring levels of parasites in a dragon to grow out of whack.

I only took him the one time. 24hrs after bringing him he pooped worms, the stress I"m sure didn't help but he was definitely not doing great compared to after.

Being new I thought he was eating enough/active enough but boy after the treatment he was an eating machine and active.
Got an x-ray too, I don't skimp on the care of my charges :) He had SOME sand in him but no cysts/tumors, etc.
Sand was my bad, I fed him by hand and the sand wasn't calcium (Reptisand).
Local reptile shop told me if I don't put his bugs in there for him to chase/eat off the sand, it should be okay, it wasn't.
At first I chided myself bringing him but I believe it did prevent bigger issues (both worms and owner caused).
I was lucky.

EDIT: Sorry, I only brought him once, brought stool sample in w/o him and picked up meds later.
It was ~ -15F the day I brought him in (heated up the car for 30 min,

Also used a rechargable handwarmer (my wife sewed a pocket for it so he couldn't burn himself) to the roof of his carry cage (it gets hot, worked well FY (everyone's) I, temp in the carrier was 86.

Word to noobs, no sand, just don't.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! We’re the same age! That’s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
