Wow, I can't believe I didnt see this post till today. They look great, can't wait to see what they look like after a couple of sheds. Those twins are connected at the belly? So young and showing great color already, it's gonna be a good season.
Yep, the twins are connected between the belly button and chest. They are growing and eating & pooping twice a day and its been a month since they hatched. I have yet to get an xray and see what's up with the organs but it seems everything is separate so far. I think they are females.
I agree, it's gonna be a good season. These are from my normal cross, 2nd clutch, who turned out to be het for hypo. The first clutch yielded 2 good eggs, the first one to hatch for the year was the twins! Momma was rescued at 5 months old and about 30 grams but grew to 19" and 780 grams. She's my husbands baby for sure! She even sleeps on the couch with a pillow and blanket.
great looking dragons but in all honesty considering the way your conjoined twins are stuck do you really think its humane to keep them alive. In some cases i understand it but they are stuck at the stomach so i highly doubt they can move around well if at all and deffinately cant catch their own food. Yall dont get all ticked at me im just being a realist here.
I sort of agree, Brian. Maybe you can consider having them separated. In my research of conjoined twins, being connected at the stomach usually results in death. Separating them soon enough may be your only option to keep them alive before main arteries and veins appear between the two. Just a suggestion.
