Should we have a newcomer forum?

Sorry if this question has been asked previously. I didn't have time to go through all 21 pages of this forum to find out. I have noticed that newcomers ask a lot of the same question. I myself have been guilty of this on numerous occassions. Would it be beneficial for us to have a seperate forum either above or below "Introductions" to answer questions specifically for newcomers? One that has several stickeys for feeding, lighting, substrate, can I house my beardies together, a list of necessary equipment to house a new beardie, etc.? Links to favorite care sheets such as the Beautiful Dragons feeder list or Tatsu's Care sheet? Things of this nature. We could also include where to find sigs, avatars and load pictures. Anyway, I thought it would be worth discussing.

P.S. Buttercup and I love this site! We feel like we have thousands of new friends! :love5: Yeah, I'm a cheezeball.

It's tough to say. While a special forum may not have been requested for this, the topic of having special stickies and such has... especially to address the "regular" questions. The thing is... those questions will still get asked repeatedly. And in a way, rejeuvinating the topic with current opinions by having it answered again can often be a positive thing. It might not be a bad idea to summarize some of the more key bits of information for new comers, but it's hard to say just what to reference in such a document/post. It will essentially be a care sheet, with various opinions added in that may vary.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
