I usually just like to look on gumtree.com.au at bearded dragon classifieds. I saw one near my area which looks as if it has not been treated well enough. The seller does not have any description on the dragon itself such as age and gender. As soon as I saw the photos I felt really horrible for it. I only see a white light in the photos which does not seem to look like anything special to the dragon, and I don't see any source of heat either. These were the photos that are attached to the ad:
The description with the ad:
Selling my dragon cause I'm moving house. Everything you see in the picture is included.
Dragon
5ft cage
Stand
Water bowl, two tree stumps, water bowl, artificial trees
In my opinion, it shouldn't be living in that. I currently have one dragon and am looking after him very well. The price of it all is $400 negotiable. Australian dollars. Included is the tank which I would need because I would not risk putting it in with my current beardie. Do you think it is worth buying?

Despite the lack of proper lighting, he doesn't look too bad. A bit on the thin side though.
If you are willing to pay that amount of money (no idea how much a tank like that would cost in Australia), then I'd say "Go for it!".
FYI - This is similar to how I got my last beardie, Squirt. He was owned by a 20-something 'kid'. After the kid broke up with his girlfriend, he no longer wanted Squirt and decided to just [severely] neglect him. When I first saw Squirt at their house, I was terrified/mortified/sad/angry all at the same time. I almost left with Squirt within the first 10 minutes of seeing him. I had offered to foster Squirt until someone else came along, but after having him for a mere week, I [silently] decided to keep him.
Rescuing a dragon is rewarding, but keep in mind if he is in poor health, he will need to see a vet and possibly need advanced treatment which can cost quite a bit (assuming you have a good reptile vet in the area). It's not a bad thing, but it's something to take into consideration if you want to be able to provide proper care.
