So for the past few days my bearded dragon has looked as if she was going to shed, I have been spraying her and her tank to raise humidity a little, and I gave her a bath and I plan on giving her another today. She looked like she was very obviously shedding, but now it looks as if her shed is getting less instead of more "sheddy." I am just a bit worried, does anybody know why this might happen?
Temps: 85 Cold side 105 Basking side
40 gallon tank
Mercury Vapor UVA/UVB bulb
I dust her crickets and salad (usually butternut or spaghetti squash with mustard or collard greens and papaya/ occasional other fruits) daily with Calcium (which is not expired, I checked)
Their sheds can take on different levels of color and intensity and also happen in patches. They're pretty good at shedding on their own so the spraying probably isn't necessary. I'd provide a branch or some time on a carpet or similar rough area to make it a bit easier to rub off the areas that are ready to shed. Other than that, she will just do her thing and shouldn't run into any problems.
