So Rocky went from shedding in chunks to this... see picture. I didn't even see this coming off of his belly but I saw his back, head, etc. This is the first time that I saw such extreme, full shedding. Rocky will be 7 months in 3 days. I took @KarrieRee's advice and brushed his back while bathing him....I didn't give him a full bath like usual, just about a 5 minute bath total and when all of the skin was wet, I brushed it, I then let him look at it- then he got out of the water. Rocky allowed me to brush the top of his head outside of the water as well (the brush was wet). Rocky still rubbed against objects, his behavior was a little skiddish but we still played and he wanted me to take him out. One day (the shedding was a 2 day process), I was home but really busy and left him alone in the enclosure all day and he was done shedding. I will say that he was exhausted and knocked out by 3pm. Of course I was worried but he was fine! Rocky is totally going through puberty! I can finally see his growth and his mood - he's beyond needy (which I didn't think was possible) but as long as he doesn't puff, we are good. He bangs on the glass until I come (he stopped doing it for food and does it for my attention when I am in the next room- If I sit in the room with him and totally ignore him, he's fine. Rocky needs me near).
