Kiku shed on her head last week, you can clearly tell she still has the rest of her body to go. Now today she is shedding from the base of her tail down. All thats left now is her back/belly, and legs.
Do they usually shed in stages like that? How long can a shed last??
I give her a bath every other day, should I give her one EVERY day to help it loosen up?
My small beardie can take 2 days to complete his shed once its breaks, but my large one take FOREVER! took about 3 weeks or more to get it all done....and yes, one body part at a time.
i noticed a change in my beardie when his head was shedding, wasnt that into eating that much and was skittish! baths when they shed their head is a good time, mine likes to doggie scratch in the water. you can also help it by getting a soft tooth brush and scrub it a little on him.
Yes, it is common for beardies to be irked when they're shedding. It is also common for them to refuse food, although some will eat all through a shed.
My beardie is starting to continue his shed. He just started his head, legs and tail. I'm a new owner and she seems kinda cranky. I was getting worried that she isnt gonna be that tame. But from what I have been reading it seems pretty normal for them to act a bit wierd.
Well I got another beardie, a male, and it looks like he is starting to shed now. When seeing the scales get that white dull color that is a good indication that they are starting to shed right? My female is starting to shed again too, and she just shed not to long ago. Is that normal for them to shed so quickly? I have noticed that them both are very irratable, thats normal with shedding?

Congrats on the new beardie!
I wouldn't be too sure; color changes can indicate stress levels and temperature.
How old is the female? And what do you mean by "not so long ago"? A week? A month? Young, rapidly growing beardies shed very often. Repeated sheds can also be a sign of mites or fungal infections.
The female is 3 months, I got her when she was 9weeks and she was finishing about her last shed. Now her back and top of head is kinda whitish i guess, which looked the same as her last shed. They get baths 2-3 times a week and I checked them for mites and I dont see anything. I also checked the belly for stress markes and nothing is showing.
