Tink my bearded dragon laid her first clutch about 2 weeks tomorrow. She's now in the process of shedding? Is this normal behavior? In her first clutch I could feel her eggs and now I feel nothing. Do they not always have more then 1 clutch? Any help anyone can give would be super appreciated! Thanks!
Funny this has been brought up, my Crixus laid her first ever clutch and is now in shed from her neck to tail base.... is it from losing all the egg weight and rapidly gaining it back with a huge appetite?????
Mine too! I think her tails shedding too though. She's still eating like a champ. I could feel the eggs in her first clutch in her belly. But as far as a second clutch I don't think there will be one. I haven't felt eggs and this Friday will mark 3 weeks since the eggs were laid.
Were yours fertile?? Mine were not and as far back as May I provided and removed a laybox, had a vet visit, nursed her back to health after 2 days of total lethargy, returned to beast mode with the crazy appetite and unexpectedly laid those eggs... now the appetite is nuts again, but is that from her just trying to bounce back or...?? Not sure what to think..
Most were fertile. I lost a lot because unfortunately my incubator came later then my eggs and my make shift incubator didn't cut it. Well have to see what the remaining few do. Tink (my beardie) wasn't a big eater and hasn't gone threw a shed since I got her. Which was maybe 6 months ago? I went through ALOT of scares with her. She stopped eating for like 3 or 4 days. Wasn't pooping. Not active. I gave her reptaid and after 5 days on that she was an entirely new dragon. I think she had a cold? But now she's back to being Tink and I'm just gunna wait a few more weeks and see if maybe another clutch comes?
