Shedding? Anything? Everything!

We got our Beardie on Saturday, and are both very new to owning reptiles. We've been trying to do as much research as possible, but I still think testimonials from BD owners are the best way to go!
Is there a certain age where they start to shed?
Actually, if there's anything that's not basic common knowledge that anyone thinks we should know, it would be greatly, greatly appreciated! Trying to keep this little fella as happy and healthy as possible!

Shedding is more often when younger then older as they are still growing.
I would like to get a basis for were you are to help you out, I don't want to just ramble on and on and cover a lot of things you may already know.
I would like to know and or get pictures of the enclosure, lighting and UV, temperatures, humidity and food/feeders.

I got home from work today and he is shedding! :)

We have a 40 gallon Reptile Terrarium, it's lined with reptile carpet. We have have a few rocks and branches and what not. We originally bought vines, and cactus pieces...really just everything we found interesting; it was too crowded for him though so we took most of it out. We have our Thermometer and Hygrometer. (Basking spot surface temp is kept between 105-110 degrees, which after lots of trial and error we found that he likes this the best!) We're using a 60 watt no-light heat emitter for night, and during the day we're using a 160 watt solar glo bulb. It's the heat lamp and day light all in one. We had the two separate lights, one basking light and one UVA/UVB light, but since we've put this combined bulb in, he's been more active and eats well. We're feeding him crickets, kale, peas, carrots and broccoli. We coat a couple of his crickets in calcium powder a couple times a week. We spritz him once or twice a day with water, but he actually drinks from his waterfall every now and again:)
Overall he seems to be doing really well though!

my guys still shed, though not as often...they are just a year old now. they play in their pool when they are outside daily. this helps with any shedding and i think they really enjoy the water on a hot day. i have a bad habit if "helping" when they shed. i just can't resist picking off the odd piece that is hanging there. they seem to like it, they stay still and let me do it, plus they like a nice scratch from me after its been removed. they love having their backs scratched, they really lean into it and get this dazed look. when i stop they almost look disappointed.

i also have a couple of rough rocks in their habitat, they love to rub on these to help get the annoying, stubborn bits that bother them off.

I love how vibrant the colors underneath Beau's old skin are! I think he likes to be scratched on the back too! If he doesn't... Oh well I do it anyways, haha.so you have a pool you put them in? Cute! I have a small fountain in his terrarium, and he'll climb to the top and jus let his tail drag down in the water. So a year old?! How big are your beardies? Mine's about 7 1/2 inches long right now. :)
