She ate a fire ant

My dragon ate a fire ant I'm almost positive. I found a dead one outside her tank and prior, she had leaped down and ate something (I had not given her any food yet.)

Please help, I can take her to the vet if need be. But I need to know if they are toxic to ingest and how worried I should be. I am terrified atm.

Did it hurt when she ate the fire ant?

Hello,

She will be fine. It most likely didn't have a chance to sting/bite her. If you are worried about any
toxicity, you can give her some activated charcoal for a few days to help flush out her system.
Let us know how she is doing.

Sorry to reply ages later, but she is fine! We had a fire ant problem for a couple weeks, but I think I fixed it.
I kept finding the ants in her terrarium, and dying outside it. She lives in a Zen habitat that sits on the ground. I completely cleaned it, using an enzyme cleaner in and around the enclosure. Then I placed cinnamon sticks around the sliding doors on the outside.
It worked and so far they are gone! Thank god, I was a nervous wreck over it haha. I found one on her
hammock and oh man
😰

Thank you to everyone, hope this helps someone else in the future

Did you get the tank off the floor?

No, it is deliberate that the tank is on the floor. I keep it on the floor so that she can free roam my living room when I am home.
We identified why the ants were suddenly coming in. There was a storm recently prior, and part of the tree had fallen on our house. We cleared that up and cleaned the living room just in case.

Hello,

That is great you got the ant problems solved, they can be a horrible pain when they find a way in.
Cinnamon sticks work very well, basil or oregano oil work too. They are all natural so you wouldn't
have to worry about your dragon getting ill from them.
I'm glad everything is back to normal.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
