i've just got my first beardie and the breeder i got him/her from said she seems to be a girl.
he didnt look at her under her tail, he just glanced her over and said 'yup, shes a girl'.
i've read that 2 lumps is for boy and 1 for girl but know its not so accurate when theyre younger (there seems to be 2 lumps on my beardie).
how did he know she was a girl just by glacing at her or is she not a girl?
i've included some pics to this post to see if anyone can can help me with sexing him/her.
help is so much appreciated, thank you
I think I'm voting male too. See the area above the vent? In a female that bump is horizontal above the vent. In your pictures..it looks like two bumps that are vertical above the vent..and that's male. There's an article on here about sexing that might be helpful to you. Either way..your beardie is gorgeous. Enjoy him/her
So what is him's or her's name? I had someone tell me they could tell by the shape of the head. He picked one out of the group he had said Yep this one is definitley a girl....lifted the tail and said oh nope it is a boy. I dont know why people think they know all just by "looking them over". : ) At any rate your boy (I would vote boy too) is beautiful. Congrats new mommy.
