I have these on the basking side

I recommend you get 2 digital probe thermometers - your getting ambient temps not actual surface basking temps - when you get them place the probe on your hammock where he sits for basking wait 10 min or longer and get to he temp- you don't need to leave it there but check it every 10 days or so - IR guns do not read off of hammocks
