Yesssss we did. We found some eggs in our garden, thought they were snake and I stuck them in a bowl with some dirt. A week later, out popped little garden lizards. My kids wanted to keep them but I was like, ehh we don't keep wild animals. My boyfriend and I said we'd go get a real lizard next week, hoping they'd forget about it since they were 6 and 7 at the time. They did not forget and a week later, we came home with a baby Toothless.Yeah no question about it. Its worth it all.
Omg haha you got a beardie but you were afraid of them? Thank you so much. It really helps to know about your experiences with Nubby

That's our boy. He's not the brightest of lizards but he's the specialist.
As long as she can move farther away she'll choose what she likes. Try to overlap the basking and uvb with multiple distances and see how she reacts.Reviving this thread for its original purpose...
I just realized that i bought and have been using 54w tubes.. to be clear, for the setup i have, 24w would be better? She can get as close as 15-20cm to the tube and as far as 50cm. Im mortified, i dont know how i've missed this...
Try to arrange so that she can get more uvb than basking in one area, then more basking than uvb in another. And some place she can get closer to both at once. It sounds harder than it reality is. I keep my uvb and basking fairly close to each other then arrange for different heights for my guys to pick from. They generally move back and forth utilizing all the different heights.
can i see a picture of what you mean? sorry i just dont quite know how to picture itTry to arrange so that she can get more uvb than basking in one area, then more basking than uvb in another. I actually have the long tube Arcadias in my setups. I have two basking because I keep my house down around 70 degrees and it's hard to keep my ambient temps up in my habitats. In my bigger setups I need a little extra to get it warm enough.Ohh so thats why you have two heat bulbs? One for basking plus uvb and one for more just basking?
I asked in a facebook group again cause i forgot what you guys told me.. the things they told me to do was so opposite this.. They told me that uvb should only be on the baskingspot and to put a LED tube in the reflector for just light for the rest of the tank
The 54w 12%?I actually have the long tube Arcadias in my setups. I have two basking because I keep my house down around 70 degrees and it's hard to keep my ambient temps up in my habitats. In my bogger setups I need a little extra to get it warm enough.
Im still not understanding what you mean by overlapping basking and uvb though..I actually have the long tube Arcadias in my setups.
