Hey all! Got a second beardy On Sunday. Think were gonna name him(?) Ozzy.
He's got quite a bit of relocation stress, and I had a couple of questions about handling him.
1. I know when there new and stressed you should leave them alone, and put your hand in slowly
and just keep it there for a minute or two so they now you wont hurt them... But then how do you bathe them?
Do you just hold off for a couple of days? I have done 2 baths, one a day, and gotten 2 poops! yah!
But should i wait till he is more comfortable.
2. People say you should'nt feed them in thier vivs, but then you have to take them out and put them in
another container. And that will stress them out. So what do you do then feed one cricket at a time so none are left
in the viv?
This new one is so much more scared then schnitzle was. The first day she was home she snuggled right in to my neck
and took a nap. Never stressed. Its amazing how different they are.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
here's a pic or 2
I know its only a 10 gallon tank. just a temp home for a month till i get the new vivs.
Awww, such an adorable little guy. He is so tiny, it's no wonder he is stressing. It should be ok to move him to his feeding box/tank. He will soon realize that you are NOT going to eat him, you are "The Great Bringer of Good Things to Eat" It might help to cut a hole in the bottom side of a paper or plastic cup and dump his crix in there. they will come out one or two at a time and he can easily catch them. It worked for me when mine was so tiny. Good luck.
