Hello,
It’s my first time posting here but I’ve had a bearded dragon for about 2 1/2 years now. This is Mars and he is the nicest and most curious type of beardie you’ll ever meet. I have some concerns around his scale. It looks like an injury but I can’t seem to figure out how he might have gotten it because I’m always supervising him and he’s fallen from coffee tables but it wasn’t so bad. He likes to rest around heaters when he’s out of the cage so could this be a burnt mark of some sort? He eats and sleeps well and he moves around a lot.
I’ve attached some photos!
Hi, since you mentioned that he likes to rest near heaters then I would say that is the cause. Best to keep him away so that he doesn't get burned more. He should heal up fine but you can always use a little raw honey or Silver cream on it. Mars looks like an inquisitive little dude, that's a cute pic of him looking out of the tank for some trouble to get in to.
How is your dragon doing now, have you tried the honey on that area? I agree, he probably got a little bit of a burn but it should
heal up pretty quickly. Definitely monitor the heater around him!
