Scale discolouration on base of tail- scale rot or not?

I was handling burn tonight when I noticed she has a big patch of darkened, discoloured scales on the base of her tail and around her cloaca. it doesn't show very much on camera but in person they're a bit more dark. I'm very worried about the risk of a fungal infection or scale rot, especially given these marks are very new and seem to have appeared while she was missing outdoors, but my family is very busy and I might not be able to get her to the vet for a while (even if I had the money to pay for it myself, we live very far from any exotics vets that work with reptiles and I can't drive). it shouldn't be any sort of shed that I know of because her pre-shed is usually pale and doesn't have the scale spread. it doesn't seem to affect her behavior quite yet.

Um, how did you get her tail to stay that way?? I don't see you holding it. Thor's tail flops back down if I try to do this!

i didn't really do anything, she just likes keeping her tail in whatever position i put it in, i guess? she's always been like that.

Sometimes a small patch of shed hangs on there as well, it's totally normal.

Hello,

I agree, the scales can definitely get dirty or stained. You can get some moist wet ones, to gently
wipe those areas down.
