Say Hello to Humbaba!

Humbaba
Humbaba is a baby bearded dragon who I purchased last Monday (1-9-23). He has a 75 Gallon tank with a hammock, plenty of climbing space, and some delicious greens that he's finally started eating. I haven't had him properly sexed yet, but I wanted a male so I refer to him as such for the time being. He's not the most social yet, as he's still getting to know me, but he does enjoy a good nap on my chest or shoulder in the evenings. He eats mostly small-to-medium crickets, with greens from the local superstore that I've checked to ensure are safe for him. He gets baths almost daily for hydration and enrichment---he loves splashing around, and occasionally enjoys a hottub dinner. I dust his food with plenty of calcium powder to ensure he can grow up big and strong. With that out of the way---here he is!

Welcome, he/she is gorgeous.
A word of advice on baths, every day is to often, it can dry out his skin, also if he doesn't dry off completely it could cause bacteria or fungus to start in his scales.
One other thing, they use the same muscle group to walk and to breathe. They can't do both at the same time. So make sure the water isn't to deep, if he can't reach the bottom he could drown. (Not trying to scare ya, just making sure you are aware). Most people don't know about them using the same muscles for there legs and breating so i try to mention it.

Congrats on him eating greens 🙂
Stay with that! Im pretty sure my girl thinks that even just showing her greens is me attempting to torture her. It’s like a whole thing, she acts so offended 90% of the time. I hope your guy continues with greens b/c yay, that’s pretty awesome. He’s a gorgeous dragon - is he your first beardie? How old is he?
