lmao this got me laughing so hard my stomach hurts so badThat they are though I’m lucky Apollo’s haven’t yet come with a smell.
Spike though used to be very bad for it and seemed to find it funny.
He used to force farts out until ‘The Incident’ where he was in his bed one night and it turned out a little more than he expected.
I’ve never before or since seen such a clear look of complete mortification in a lizards eyes as I saw that night.
Had to give him a bath, throw his bedding in the wash and make him a backup bed on the floor of his enclosure for that night. Spike hasn’t intentionally let one go since that moment.
Though I’m honestly impressed how they can be so loud for a creature with no![]()
r.i.p heheheIn the evenings my room sometimes will inexplicably stink- now I know why lol
Looks very interesting!Another update here because I decided to check out Apollo’s third eye with my macro lens the other day and it’s pretty impressive. I have to say I’ve not seen one so defined before.
He still has a bit of sand grains there as he was originally kept in sand and the yellow/orange particles is dandelion pollen he managed to fling everywhere. View attachment 94006 View attachment 94007

Welcome! He is a handsome and healthy looking dragon! So 2 days ago I took in this adorable little 11 month old Central.
I found him on a Facebook page for beardies needing rescue and rehoming and just fell in love with his pics.
He’s in great condition and loves his greens with is a bonus and the only thing I need to work on with him is getting him used to regular handling again.
He needed to be rehomed because his original owner had recently moved and changed jobs then found the new hours didn’t leave enough free time to give him all the attention he needed on a regular basis.
He’s settling in nicely to his new home and we’re working on handling. He hasn’t gone off his food which is great and he’s got a healthy appetite.
I’ve found him to be a very energetic, curious and agile juvenile who seems to particularly enjoy climbing around on his climbing/basking wall.
He has some beautiful patterning and coloration which I’m eager to see how that will develop as he grows.
I get the feeling he’s going to be a big guy with how long his tail and limbs are.

Wow he is a very good looking feller! I'm glad he is doing well for you (not surprised thoughHe’s settled in really well now and has done quite a bit of shedding. His colors are really coming through and he’s still a climber who loves his greens. I’ve yet to try him with anything he hasn’t liked.
He’s happy being handled now and I’ve progressed him to indoor roaming time which he’s quickly gotten comfortable with and I’ve found he’s VERY well behaved with this. He doesn’t leave the room I put him in for roaming and any spaces under or behind furniture he’s found he just has a look then leaves it be and he’s loving the big windows.
With how well he’s going I’m thinking soon I’ll start adjusting him to having outdoor time in the enclosures I’ve made.

I just made them from stuff I picked up from the hardware store here to it’s stiff wire mesh panels that I cut to what size I had planned and I used thick wire I coiled to secure the panels together and I used some brackets, bolts and wingnuts for securing two sides. What are his outside enclosures like ? My guys go outside from about 2 weeks after they hatch.
