Ruby and I are in a standoff

As Rocky is hiding aka semibrumating, Ruby gets all of my love. I have cuddle and TV time with Ruby and he gets to walk around the floor.
When I put Ruby back in his enclosure (he's out for 20 minutes), he lays in one spot and that's all. He won't eat, move or do anything. I leave him alone for hours... if he gets hungry enough, he'll eat but he runs back to the same spot and pouts.
Ruby will stand at the glass. He won't bang (glass surf), he would only bang after pooping.
Just because he stands at the glass, I still don't let him out.
I hate playing this game with him but he has to know who is boss.
