Rubio has always been an upright dragon, meaning I mainly find him running around or on his toes. This time he earlized he could get out of his tank:
Making sure Mom is watching:
Strong arm muscles, are good to do push ups
Then the leg over the side, works fine:
This isn't as difficult as I thought:
Now I know what it's like to see from the top of the couch:
We know it's past time to get a bigger tank, unfortunately, our car brakes all need to be replaced, so it'll be another 2 mo before we can get him a bigger tank, so we blocked off our dining room, and that's where he spends a few hours a day. He hasn't tried to get out of his tank since.
Thanks everyone, Rubio is our comic, he's always trying to get in or out of where he should be. Just to give him some more room, we beardie proofed the dining room where his tank is, so he gets to roam around, which is better for him anyway. We also blocked off part of his tank so he can "great escape" into the living room anymore, aren't we mean?
Ha...ha! Deborah that's to cute...I like to watch them as they are escaping. I must say that all looks to familiar to me.
You do know that now he's figured it out there's no keeping him in if he decides he want out right?
I know, so we put a cover over his bed side and beardie proofed our dining room, so he's out roaming alot during the day & he's not been interested in getting out of his tank. Instead, he tries to jump over the beardie proofing, which is so funny to watch. He's determined to be wherever he's not supposed to be! That's our Rubio!
I gave up on Blaze and Itty Bitty.
We are going to make a platform for Blaze because he doesn't fit so well on the window sill any longer. He tries to turn around and he already hangs half way off. An I think we are going to give Itty Bitty a ladder because she likes to let herself back in when she's done.
They are crazy and amusing little creatures.
Oh, he is a stinker! You think after they get those big bellies that they are incapable of climbing up things anymore...wrong. Scorch has a cage with doors in the front so when she wants out she jumps down off her basking spot (a good 10" drop) and lands with her face millimeters from the doors and stares me down. They all have their ways of getting what they want don't they?
Hi Kiera, I'll teach you, but you have to grow up first as you need to be a bit taller to try this. I really enjoyed it and moms was there to watch me & make sure I didn't get into the living room. I still try it, climbing on my bush, but I can't get high enough to catch a nail in the top part, so that hasn't worked. So I'll see you on the blog, I enjoy watching your pictures and videos and watching you grow up, which you're doing really well!
