Rojo turned a year old this week. For the past maybe 3 months he has made a huge decline in growth, eating (by about 75-80% less) and activity. He's started to blackbeard daily too.
Went from poo'ing at least once a day to maybe once every 10 days..
but this past week he has started going absolutely crazy. Black bearding down his entire under body.. jumping against the glass and clawing the sides of his tank... trying to leap against the side of the tank (smashing his little face into the glass over and over!) Literally all day long all I hear is constant scraping and banging, jumping, hitting himself against the side, sliding down, completely black.. all day long. day after day.
My male has been doing the same thing this whole past week. Pacing his tank, banging his nose on the glass, and scraping to get out.. and yes all day long.., and has ate maybe 2 hornworms this past week. I started syringe feeding him veggie slurries, since he hasn't ate in about 1.5 weeks... But he readily eats his slurry and I also give him critical care 1x a week to keep his strength up.. I believe it's the season, and it shall pass in a month or 2... then we can deal with brumation.
Rojo has the correct humidity and temps.. he's eating mixed greens, salads and roaches. Dusted with vits and calcium. He's hardly eating though which is why he's only poo'ing once a week or longer. I offer salads and greens and roaches daily. He's only picking at things every couple days and I have to take the roaches out and throw the wilted salad away daily. He's getting baths every other day and does seem to drink well at least.

Zeus would occasionally do this and I would normally check several things...
1. Humidity
2. Temps
3. Any remaining foods
4. Poo for the day.
Has he been eating enough? Pooing only once every ten days is a huge no no. What are you feeding him/her?
