It was . When he tried to drink from a medicine cup yesterday I was nervous but I watched him today as he drank and I made sure his head went back.

So, who is going to help me cut his nails? He slices my face.
I hold his hand in my hands but I'm scared. I don't want to hurt him. I tried filing but I take so long and there no difference.

I have never trimmed the claws. But as far as I understand, there is no need for this, if you want the dragon to scratch less, then it is enough to just slightly blunt the tip of the claw with a nail file or a nail drill

Oh, so as long as he doesn't snag his nails on anything, I'm ok? I even tried the tile.

You can also put a stones in the terrarium. There is an opinion that dragons will sharpen their claws on it. I have several stones, but I have not seen Foxy sharpen anything on them.

If you trim them look really close and you'll see there is a little curved tip that's way smaller than the rest. Those tips can get insanely sharp. That tip is all you need to trim off. I just use nail clippers. When they are sleeping/sleepy is the easiest time to do it.

for nail trims, we wait until sir henry is dead asleep and then bring him out. we cover his face with a cloth and then use the light on one of our phones. 1 hand/foot at a time, and let him settle back down inbetween. we usually get it done with him stirring some, but never actually waking up.
