Ok, is there any way I can make roach food for my dubias? I give them veggies and greens and such, but I know mine commonly like the actual roach food. I have tried a high protein cat food that I feed my cats by grinding it up in my food processor, but I’m not sure they like it. I would normally order online, but that is just a pain to have to order and pay shipping for just food. Anybody make their own roach food? If so, could you fill me in on what it consists of? Thanks!
Exactly, with smaller numbers it will look like they aren't eating much. But once you get the numbers, it seems like you can't feed them enough. You can also try some grains and stuff. Rolled oats, wheat bran, baby rice cereal etc... After some time, you will see what your roaches prefer over everything else. Mine, they love the Baby Rice Cereal w/Mixed Fruits more than anything else as far as dry food goes.
ive had success with using some wheat bran, baby cereal, blended oats, some corn meal, and even blended milk bones. . . i was debating if i wanted to add some unflavored protein powder to the mix. The roaches seem to love it
I feed cat food, left over fish food - flake beta fish food and shrimp pellets, for greens I just use the stems that I peel away from my beardie's salad.
