I suppose gorge was the wrong word, they suggested to just let her/get her to eat more than usual, mostly to replenish her nutrients and stuff. Both my vet and the one who's doing her surgery at UGA said that this (double/triple/whatever) clutch absolutely stripped her of all the vitamins and nutrients, my vet wanted to keep her overnight to give her some. She's had 2 fluids transfusions in the last two weeks.Good to hear that she'll be spayed, I hope she gets through it with as little trouble as possible !Gorging is never good though, nutrition yes, gorging no. Normal small meals with vit. +calcium supplementation and she'll be good. It's super hard for them to lose weight but yes, with 50+ eggs that's a loooot of weight shed in a short time.
Man I hope everything with this surgery goes okay.
