Glad to hear that she's done laying ! She has REALLY had a tough time, it was very concerning. Wow, I didn't realize she's in the 800-900 gram range ! Please don't be offended but help her to lose weight, obese dragons are always far less healthy and females have a much harder time with excess fat crowding the abdominal cavity and then the eggs are crowding all the way up to their lungs. The amount of insects she's getting is way overboard. Only 1-2 dubias and lots of greens is the way to go now to help her lose weight. I have never seen a 900 + gram dragon live long. Its the reality for obese dragons.
When we got her at 4months, she was kinda chubby. Her breeder said she'd just give her a bowl of superworms and let her eat on it as she wanted. She was constantly hungry and even ate all of her salads but she kinda ballooned overnight and by the time she hit about one, she stopped eating. For a couple months, she pretty much ate nothing. Nothing was wrong with her, just didn't wanna eat. But even when she does eat, she'll only eat a couple bugs, like one or two and it's only every other day, at best. But she got up to 990 amd we put her on a diet (and she's always so active, she loves running around the house) but it didn't make a difference until she became gravid. Once she started laying eggs, she lost egg weight and dropped to 860 and then she laid that second clutch, or whatever it was a week or so later, and ended up loosing more weight from it all. She's now like 750 and only recently has started showing a real interest in bugs. Like, she ate a good bit yesterday and the day before. Just because all this egg crap stripped her so drastically of nutrients and stuff from her body, we're taking the next few days to let her eat what she wants.
Plus, she's going to UGA to be spayed on Tuesday and the vets said to basically gorge her on food as much as we can the few days before her appointment, save for the day before, obviously.
