I been fighting a few problems with my Beardy Empress for the past week. Woke up a day last week to find her eye was swollen and as the next few days went by, got infected, swollen shut, passed to her other eye, swollen shut, her hole right side face was swollen, her lip was hanging which I believe to be caused by a stroke at some point during all of this which then made her head tilt and her ride side almost paralyzed to fact she could barely move straight she would just go in circles. I did everything I could for her, got meds from the Vets, came on here asking for help, taking peoples advice to use Honey, feeding her babyfood because she couldnt see to eat, just trying make her comfortable, because as much as I wanted her to get better, I knew how bad she was and would of been nothing short of a mircle if she made a recovery.
Today was the day I been preparing myself for.....Had suchhh and amazing night the previous night with a friend over, we spent awhile hanging out looking at Empress & talking about her and my friend holding me telling me it would be okay. So I woke up in a great mood. I walk over to Empresses tank and turn her light on and say "Goodmorning my little angel"...and I seen her mouth wide open like drool coming out...I dropped my cup of coffee SMASH right on the floor...I stood there for a few, staring at her, with tears pouring down my face and me shaking my head saying "no please no". I go to pet her and she doesnt do her normal head move to say "yes dad Im awake". I push her body and shes not moving..I picked her up and yea...She passed...I cried & cried & cried to point Im still crying. I never lost and animal before. Im 23 year old male with 2 bearded dragons and a loving dog. & this is my first time having something die on me. So I didnt take it that well. Especially because they changed my life and gave me a hobby that I love sooo much & she was my first beardy so its all because of her!

^^ This is a pic of Empress and Princess the day I brought Empress home from Petco! Princess is kind of a snotty beardy, shes friendly to everyone but you can tell she has and attitude to herself especially towards other beardys and we had her for about 2months before bringing Empress home. So we only had 1tank so we put them together. Was actually funny, first 6months of Empresses like she was none as KING because I thought she was a he haha. Poor dragon lol. But after awhile of Princess eyeing her and arm waving and head bobbing, my ex fiance and myself walk in to literally see them like this! Holding eachother being friends! From that day forward they stayed friends, competeing for food which sometime sment one didnt eat as much, but we learned to deal with it and feed them equally! (Know longer have Princess because of a breakup between my ex and I which also broke my heart like crazy to lose Princess but I know she has a loving mother)
