In the past 3 days my beardy has constantly been glass surfing and butting his head against the sides of the tank like he is determined to get out. He is about 7 months old and he has never done this before. I've let him out for quite a while to run around my room but as soon as I put him back in he goes back to the same thing. I'll run over everything in his tank really quick. He is in a 40 gallon breeder with non adhesive shelf liner on the bottom. His basking area is measured with a digital thermometer and varies from about 103-107. His cool side is around 75-80. He has a Repti-sun 10.0 mounted inside by his basking spot. He gets gut loaded crickets dusted with calcium 5x a week and multivitamins 2x. He also has a fresh salad of collard greens and mustard greens along with various diced up squash every day. I am really at a loss for what to do. He just seems to be super restless!
The setup sounds pretty good. Is he having regular poops? Good appetite? How does he act outside of the tank. My first thought is perhaps he is starting a shed. Have you seen any signs of that?
He has regular poops and his appetite is good for the most part. Some mornings he doesn't seem interested in his crickets but he always eats the greens. He is perfectly fine outside of the tank. He just shed about a week ago and doesn't look like he is going to shed again soon. He has never acted like this even in the sheds before.
