Tail is shed - no enemas at the vet-- take a fecal w/ you-- they are to risky -- please keep us postedSimon is a much lighter color today! Not sure what this means but it seems like he has less stress marks. He finally started pooping (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and a little bit this friday morning mostly liquid though). Seems like he is still getting everything out from when he had no basking light before. He will be seeing the vet on Monday.
LOTS of glass surfing lately but it seems related to pooping.
Just wanted to post some photos of his color change today, his tail again, and some of his poops.
His tail still looks concerning to me, especially with the rest of him being lighter now, the tail is very dark.
They want a 24 hr sample-Wow! Another poop! That’s 5 poops in 5 days after at least 2 weeks of constipation. When I first got him I noticed that he had a big belly. So sad. They were feeding him but he didn’t have a basking lamp so he couldn’t digest it.
The first poop this morning (basically just water) had a piece of cricket in it, so he is still digesting food from just over 2 weeks ago! The watery part of his poop is pretty dark brown which I’m not used to. Definitely going to collect a sample soon to bring in on Monday.
I’m thinking he could have died from the impaction of all that food. His basking lamp had been broken for at least a month. So glad I got him <3
I gave him maybe 5-6 blueberries while he was roaming a couple days ago. He doesn’t drink in his own, I syringe fed him some water maybe a week ago.How often does he drink and how many blueberries and other veg/fruit does he eat ? Some dragons do pass more water.
??If its tail rot it will be necrotic, otherwise its going to be shed or something
