I have a ReptiSun 10.0 (24in) for my 36in long enclosure. The fixture does not have a reflector so I was wondering if anybody on the forums could let me know if my fixture is close enough to my bearded dragon to allow for proper calcium absorption. Please let me know if it is too close as I know it is unhealthy for a bearded dragon to be too close to a ReptiSun 10.0 Bulb. Here are some pictures:
Thanks
The norm is 6-8". You will need to measure. If his basking spot is too close, you can move it more toward the front.
I like your viv...what brand is it? I have a baby in a 29 gallon, but already looking.
Thanks for the info, the viv is an Exo Terra 36x18x18 (LengthxWidthxHeight). I would suggest going larger as it is not very wide. If I were you I'd look for a 48x24x18 (LengthxWidthxHeight) viv if you have space for a one that large.

Thanks! I was leaning toward 48 x24x18. I have a feeling my tiny dragon is going to be a big one. He ate 35 dubias and 5 crickets today!! CustomCages has some nice vivs....but pretty expensive. I am not keen on tanks. I like the doors to open in the front.
Yeah I agree having doors that open or slide in the front is a great feature. Wow your bearded dragon eats alot. Keep searching the internet for cheaper cages, I'm sure you'll find one eventually .
I found an awesome viv. It is at BoaMaster. They have one especially for dragons with a screen top, which I personally like. Hugo did his first hand waving this morning. It was comical. No reason.. he was just walking up his basking steps and waving!!
Its awesome that you found a viv already! I hear BoaMaster makes great vivs too. Awesome that your dragon has started to hand wave. I've only seen my dragon hand wave once.
