So I lost my first beardy and sanitized all the cage items baked the logs etc.. I went out and got another one after getting my refund but went to petsmart as they were bigger, healthier, and had basking bulbs. So named this one Reptar and thankfully my daughter doesn't know the difference. It's starting to shed today so ill be giving it a bath/soak and Reptar already ate like 20 small phoenix worms today. Reptar is very alert and curious, looks good, has strong legs, beautiful eyes, and a great appetite with good looking poop. So I do notice he licks things as hes curious and I'd say this one is about juvenile size. He does open his mouth under the basking light then opens it bigger and closes almost like a yawn maybe. He will poof his beard up at me also so ill blow my cheeks up back at him, so Reptar is very attentive, allot of qualities the previous dragon didn't have. I also threw away all the food and have to get new food for the new dragon.
Careful about that hollow , he might fit in now and have plenty of room to turn and come back out , but he wont stay that small very long and before long he'll be too big to go inside and turn about and is likely to get stuck / jambed / wedged in .... will be darn hard to get him out ....
I recommend blocking that hole (fill it will paper and builders putty) to stop him from getting used to going inside the hollow.
