OK so i am tired of seeing my Dragon poop out reptiworms and I hate going to the store to get crickets and seeing them die.... grrrrr As of right now I found Jevenile Bearded Dragon Food (pellets) made by Rep-Cal. Has anyone fed these to there bd's?? I am going to order some smaller worms as maybe it is the size of them that makes them hard to digest. I am thinking if I order Med instead of the Large he might be able to digest them. He has no problem digest 40 small crickets at a time dusted with Rep Cal powder. Has any one fed the pellets yet?
Yes, we occasionally offer our beardie those pellets. He might nibble at them, but pellets aren't his favorite. We had another brand, not sure which one, which he never touched. Those pellets came from the lady we bought him from, but I've never seen ones that looked like them in the store.
So you just soak them in water and give them to your bd? I just did that and he seemed to drink more of the water....almost like a dog then eat the pellets. At least he got some water lol..... I am going to put some worms in it to see if he will eat more. So picky
Yes, just soak them for several minutes. My son usually prepares them, so I don't know for exactly how long. I think he adds a little water after he puts them in to try to keep them moist longer, but I know our beardie has never lapped the water up.
By the way, pooping out Reptiworms... are you sure your basking temp is high enough?
Yeah they are. I have 2 spots for him one is 105 and the other is 103. He just would rather be in the 95 to 100 degree temps. I took everything but one branch out, that was 105 degree and his uvb basking spot. He just stood on the tile floor in the 100 to 95 degree temp...... stubborn dragon. Grrrr so I put it all back in bc I felt bad. Lol
