Well, that does make sense with his black beard! Let's make sure though that he feels good & isn't
getting ill or anything like that.
Your lighting & setup look good. Does he spend a good amount of time basking?

Most of his day is spent basking. We let him out to run around daily too.
What signs should I watch for that would show he is ill?
He eats all of his food, runs around, basks, goes to cool down when needed, he sheds... Not really sure what to look for.
He seems to behave and look good.
He does poop daily, most days. This past week or so he has not though, maybe every other at to every 3 days.

Hello,

If he wasn't feeling well, he most likely wouldn't be basking very much or running around & eating.
If he had a respiratory type of infection he would probably have wheezing or coughing symptoms &
might even have mucous in his mouth or nose perhaps.
It sounds like right now, he is doing well & is active. Just keep an eye on him & monitor his body
weight too, to be sure he doesn't lose weight.
