Did you feed anything mushy and red like perhaps some carrot or pumpkin puree? Maybe a red pepper? My boy is a messy eater so this happens sometimes.

If not, it could be an abrasion that might need a vet to look at it

I gave him some raspberries yesterday but he isn’t a good salad eater yet so I don’t think he actually ate any

150w basking bulb on a dimmer 115.2F basking 88 warm 81.9 cool. 22% humidity He’s on ceramic tile. I got him 12.26.22 but I’m unsure of how old he is. He’s about 7 inches long unsure of weight. Fed 1/4 dubias about 5 3 times a day and fresh salad that he never eats

It's probably raspberry then, like Selkie mentioned different foods can stain their mouths. He might have tried to chomp a bit of it, even a tiny bit can stain. Even if it were a small scratch you could just put a little raw honey on twice a day and it should heal up easily.

Get him some BSFL and drop them on his salads in front of him- see if that entices him to the bowl - feed first thing in the morning -- then feed the insects late like about an hr -- you will need a good bowl like this to keep them in https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Rept...uGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d

Hey @Lydstar !

My dragon is a pain in the ass with greens too. Here's what I do. I would add something like mealworms or BSFL, but before adding in the bugs, use kitchen sheers to cut up his greens really fine.

This causes my dragon to accidently take a bite of greens when aiming for a bug :D hope that helps! 💜

If it doesn't wipe off with a cloth then it's definitely an abrasion of some sort. That's what it looks like to me. You can try and treat it with a diluted betadine solution with a qtip twice a day. Also, applying Manuka honey everyday would help to heal it. If not, a vet visit would be in order.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
