Red in mouth

Rocko has a red spot, looks inflamed to me.
Just noticed it today. He has been behaving fine, eating and running around. Normal basking.
We did have him out a little more over the past 2 days and my kids fed him a maple leaf and a mulberry leaf. Maybe they were told big or too stemmy? Not sure, I didn't see them.
Thoughts?

My husband just said it was probably from all the leaves he ate yesterday.... Implying he are quite a few ..
