Hello,

They do tend to be very clingy when going outside. I hope he got some good outside time with you.
That's great he is eating well right now. A mister is fine, for hydration. Be sure to mist him out of his
tank so his tank wont build up moisture & have a mold issue.
Keep us updated on him!

Hello,

He is looking good there! I'm glad to hear he is drinking out of his water bowl, impressive! A lot of them
wont drink from a bowl. Has he been pretty active also?

No... Hes been pancaking a lot in his cage... I set him on my bed and he still pancakes for a bit after a bit he gets up and does his window stare. But he's shedding RN and it's been about a week and his head has been pale and still hasn't shed

Hello,

He definitely has a helmet on! Their head areas seem to take a long time to shed, but it will
eventually shed off.
At least he is basking a good amount. Has he eaten very much?

He does, though we often run out of crickets and it's just irritating to almost every weekend to go get more because they all died... We have these moist pellets and mealworms... I'm trying to find out more for him to eat than just those three. Yesterday he had a salad of sweet pepper, prickly pear and mustard greens we got just yesterday. When he ate the salad it's was like something happened all of a sudden he's running around and being a little window guardian

I would get him some dubia roaches your wasting your money on the crickets --- I can post a website for them they are cheaper to get insects on line than at pet stores

I was told he was to small for them...

NO COILS--- they do not provide adequate UVB -- the T 8 is fine it needs to be unobstructed and placed 6-8 inches directly above the basking decor-- You can get a Reptisun 10.0 T 8 for that fixture --- let me know what you get or do so we can better help the dragon and you
We got a T5 for him just today... (After the last T8 burnt out ...) I told my dad about the lightbulb burnt out and he became concerned when I came up the metabolic bone disease. I'm glad Tex has the T5 now.

Too small for what? Your screen on the tank is going to determine where the T 5 goes -- please tell me what kind of screen is on the tank? fine mesh like a screen door or a wide hole type
Mesh. I originally thought he was to small to eat dubias but then I realized he was bigger than I thought he was originally (I stayed in the past and still saw him as a small little thing) and he just chomps the dubias down

So are you feeding dubias now? Insects are so much cheaper to buy on line than pet stores -- I can post websites if you want them --- the T 5 needs to go inside the tank or take the screen off -- anyway it needs to have no screen between him and the bulb - it needs to be directly above the basking decor 12-15 inches

I feed him both dubias and crickets now? My parents still decide to get both.... Does the mesh seem to get in the way of the light? My cat tries to jump onto his cage a lot so that's why Im worried to take it off. But the light is brighter than the T-8 is for sure. When I even put Tex back into his tank he sat on the rock hide for a bit before he spotted his salad and went to town.

You will need to get the UVB inside the tank then --- get some picture wire hangers and hang directly above the basking decor piece 12-15 inches -- the screen is going to block 30% of the UVB rays -- you will see a difference in behavior and colors on him -
