Hello! The purpose of this post is not to bash Fluckerfarms. I usually by around 2000 crickets every 2-3 weeks @ 1/4" from Gahns.com. However, they closed for the holiday season so i ordered from Fluckerfarms. I figured that i should only order 1000 for the 1st time to test them. They were overnighted for an additional 13.83 with out any heat packs. Over half of the crickets were dead and what was left had several spiders, i would estimate 20-30 roaches and about that many worms. Spiders - no way, worms they were small so ok, but the roaches i wasn't digging. Anyway, back to the story. Due to the high casualty rate i had to reorder before Gahns reopened so once again I reordered through Flukerfarms.com. No heat pack and if there are 100 out of 1000 crickets alive i am lucky. Out of the 100 live insectsabout 60-70 are crix and none near 1/4", the rest are worms and roach nymphs. I called Fluckers who asked me to e-mail a pic, which I did and they would call me back. They insist that they urge not to ship if below 15 degrees and I advised that it is 28-30 here in NJ and also advised that for $14.00 shipping add 2 heatpacks that cost $1.00. Never the less, I hate baseball so I don't give three strikes. In my book, Flukerfarms is out. Again, I am venting my loss of $60.00 over 2 shipments, not trashing fluckerfarms.
I always pay the extra for the heat packs. I order superworms and crickets. I use Mulberry farms. Never had to much of a problem with them just the UPS service. But i have my shipment held at the nearest HUB so i can go pick them up you get them any where from 5 to 8 hours sooner that way. UPS has fried 2 shipments on trucks that broke down or they sent the box on the wrong truck once i got them a week later boy that smelled good lol Thank goodness mulberry farms are on top of it. They shipped my replacements next day no charge to me.
