at 50+ i am just realizing how great reptiles are. mind you I still make lace and decorate cakes. My cat got run over a few weeks ago so i decided i needed a pet that was in the house. and hamsters are boring right lol My son bought a couple of geckos a while ago and i was hooked. So I got a great 2nd hand VIV on ebay and picked up 2 morph beardies yeaterday. Much more interesting than the TV and hamsters
Bit of a steep learning curve though. My poor OH had to rewire everything to prevent a house fire but apart from that we got a great deal. Just one problem the UV light fitting needs replacing. I went to a light shop but she seemed to think that UV tubes did not use a standard florescent light fitting :?
Hi. Congrats on your new family members . There are 2 articles to the right newbies guide on what to buy and lighting. Those are very informative and should answer all your questions. Just a suggestion you are definitely going to have to separate them as beardies are territorial and fight. Good luck !!
Welcome to the site, and congrats on your beardies! Reptiles can be rather addictive once you have one haha. I got my bearded dragon, then my sister got a chinese water dragon, and my other sister (we're all roommates) got a leopard gecko!
I'd love to see a pic of yours sometime. Do you know what morph they are specifically?
Everyone that i have met that has reptiles never stop at one  i have no doubt that before long i will have a stacking viv! we are prepared for these two not to get on and as soon as we can sex them we have a plan. but for the moment they are ok finally got my light sorted out and found a supplier. They should be bright orange and yellow when their colours establish they are 6 weeks old and already enjoying attention.
