Okay, I know that there can be a million different colors and such in bearded dragons but, ever see the different textures/mutations? I though this guy looked like something that came out of a Star Wars movie.
Let me introduce to you the Silkback Bearded Dragon!! They are born without scales.
And here is another interesting breed.
Leatherback Bearded Dragons!!
The only real cool thing about the silkies is they breed mostly leatherbacks for offspring. I hear the females are almost not bred because the male bites the back of the head and almost peels the WHOLE head off...
There's a female on Kingsnake that has gone from 1800.00 to 750.00 last checked.
I'm not a big fan of the silkbacks either and I kind of think of it as unfair to the lizard in heat/mating situations.
Plus, I kind of enjoy the textured, rough feeling of the scales ^^
This is probably a silly question, but can someone explain the difference between the leather back and regular bearded dragons?? Maybe if someone can post a picture of both..

Silkbacks have no spikes/scales.
Leatherbacks have less spikes/scales than a normal beardie and much smaller spikes/scales.
If you look closely at the second pic it is of a leatherback notice the small scales?
Regular beardies have larger scales.
Haha, like all of the other hairless things breed today (hairless rats, cats, etc)
Like I said before, that silkie up above looks like something that stepped out of a star wars movie.
I still think they're pretty in their own way. They're a designer breed same as certain dogs and cats and rats and anything else people mess with for certain traits.
