Rankins not eating!

This is my third post on here and always really helpful comments received. We’ve had our rankins since July. Started eating really well and got to a stage where he was nearly polishing off 3 boxes of crickets a week! Then he stopped eating? We switched to locusts to try but after a week of doing ok on those he stopped eating those. I tried alternating to give him variety but still not joy. Following advice on here I got some roaches. He polished off 4 in one sitting (he was obviously starving), but since then he won’t touch them. I’ve been supplementing him with calci-worms but he won’t eat them. I was worried about him and knew wax worms can be given as a treat. He will eat those. What do I do because he won’t eat? He has fresh veg daily and only nibbles on that. He was still managing to pass a stool every day (despite the fact he doesn’t seem to eat). Do I just load him up with wax worms before he loses too much weight and gets weak (he’s already started to hide more than bask). Or do I just keep doing what I’m doing, offer lots of veg and leave the roaches on offer all day. I’ve tried letting the roaches just run in his cage but they just end up hiding. I put them in a bowl and he just stares at them. Tweezer feeding doesn’t seem to work either. He likes to watch the calci-worms if put in front of him and might occasionally pick at one. Wax-worms he doesn’t hesitate. Advice appreciated .

If Diablo is adult or near adult size [ around 10 " ] then he's going in to brumation. It's natural and nothing to worry about. It may last a few weeks or months.

He’s only 6 months old, so is that still normal?

Can you pot a picture of him right now next to a ruler or on your hand ? If he's 9-10" and plump then he's near adult size.

He’s about 21cm long, not particularly chunky.

Yeah, a little small yet but looks healthy. I don't mean small for his age, just not full grown yet but close. Probably just a phase right now but if you're worried you can have a fecal test done to rule out parasites. I'm pretty sure it's just the urge to brumate though as he nears sub adult size.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
