Random Question about Plants

Hi Everyone!
So, I woke up with a random question but it wouldn't be me if it wasn't random, right?

For those of you who have plants in the enclosure, do you also have houseplants? If so, how does the beardie know not to eat the plants outside of the enclosure? I let me beardies out and they don't eat random things (I heard it's because I feed them properly and they aren't hungry but I am not bragging). However, at the first sight of plants, one of them ate one. That crazy beardie had me scared to death- I later found out that it was a plant poinous to him too- the first time I used a credit card to prop his mouth open--- that was a fail, he swallowed it and smiled at me. Ugh! There's a post somewhere -
Anyhow (whew what a flashback, I am sweating)- since that time of the scare, we had a talk and he is now able to sit near/under plants and he never touches them. 👀

If I were to put edible plants in his enclosure, I don't think it would be fair as it would cause confusion.

I don't plan on putting plants in the enclosure, but I am curious.
Do you not take your beardies out of their enclosures. No judgement! However, you are probably judging me for treating my beardies like dogs or humans depending on the day but that's okay. Do you not have houseplants? What's going on in your household?
Seriously, what are your thoughts about this topic?

All of our plants are out of reach of our beardies. I don't do live plants in the enclosures personally.

I'm sitting with Ruby and he's in theb window. There is a hanging plants nearhim. He didn't even pay attention. However, the more I talk about it, I think I could jinx it but know I wouldn't leave him unattended because he's sneaky.

At the of this post, I have moved the plant lol

Zsa Zsa is sneaky to.
I left her in the living room floor yesterday to go get a cup of dubias I forgot on the kitchen counter. It literally was 6 or 7 steps each way. When I got back she was already out of the living room and down the hallway lol. She ran right by me without me even seeing.

Awww man. Although I must say that your Ruby would never 😂

Ruby is back in his enclosure. After he basks, he walks and poops on the kitchen floor. I love to see him waddle and slide across the floor but I don't appreciate the poop.

I don't grow plants in a terrarium either. But we have plants at home that are inaccessible to Foxy. They grow in tall pots (trees) or are on windowsills. We grow sprouts especially for Foxy and put them in his walking area. He sometimes comes up to them and eats them.

We have a special barrier for this. It is a cardboard box that is the perfect size for the doorway, it is narrow and long, we use it when we need to leave the room for a short time.

That's a pretty good idea 💡 I have left over boxes from moving, I'll probably try that.

Yesterday was the first time Zsa Zsa encountered tile, it was historical. When I went to pick her up after letting her chase dubias all over the living room, she bolted away and onto the kitchen. She went about 2 foot before she spun out lmao. She looked at me like I had tricked her. She didn't bolt when I picked her up that time

There are edible plants in my dragon's enclosure and he eats them a lot. (I have multiple golliwog plants in rotation - once the plant in the enclosure is eaten up half, that plant is put on the balcony to grow back and he gets another one in the meanwhile.) The golliwog especially grows nicely, not just survives, and it would be huge if he wouldn't eat it so much :D
I generally find it a good idea having so, as it provides my dragon with fresh veggies all day long (whatever I feed I have to put in in the morning before I leave, and then I come back in the evening, typical work day). As my dragon is used to it, there is also no problem if it just happens nobody is at home for a day or two. (Which is rarely the case, but just could happen if we have to take an appointment in another city and have to stay overnight.)

We also have house plants. The simple thing is: He has no access to them.
For example, one is on a small table that is too high for him to jump up, and there is also nothing else he can climb up and jump on top.
The other plants are mostly on the balcony, but there he's only with harness and leash.
Generally, Taco is a very good climber, but these furniture just has nothing to get a hold on.

Works well with us, and if I ever had to design another tank interior for a beardie or another animal I would use suitable live plants again.

What do you have in the enclosure so far? If I remember, you are not using loose substrate, so what's it right now?
But I remember when my Taco encountered tile for the first time. We have tile floor in the apartment. When Taco was before his first brumation (approx. 9 months old when he started it), he was outside of the enclosure about once in 1 - 2 weeks (he didn't wanted more often) and only sitting on me. After brumation, first "spring fever", he wanted down. Okay, tile - he was used to sand-clay-mix in his enclosure, and sitting on me which means fabric and skin. Down on the tile, he was first sliding around, but managed walking on this after the second time being out. He once tried digging the tile :D

Ruby is a climber, Rocky is not a climber but a hopper, lol.

But you remind me about how much I've beardie proofed my house. The plants don't seem of interest but they are both sneaky and may change at any moment. Beardie beware!

How much water should I be giving my bearded dragon? He will only drink from a dropper when I drop on his nose and I’m not sure if I should give it to him until he won’t drink anymore? Or should I stop after he’s had a certain amount?
Just want to check that if my beardie is ok I managed to get a video of him yawning today and screenshot him with his mouth open does he have mouth rot??? He is eating and drinking normally btw, the discoloration on his left of the mouth has been there for a month but the discoloration on his right side is new
