The crazy energetic behavior is pretty normal after brumation, and a good sign. My dragon will usually run all over and not eat much for a while. He loses a bit of weight but then gains it back when his appetite returns after a few weeks.

As far as lighting goes, a CHE/heat projector will produce infrared which is great for keeping them warm but not as useful for visible light. The T5 produces some visible light along with UVB/A, but I don't find them to be bright enough on their own. I still like to supplement with a halogen or incandescent bulb in order to brighten things up. Might not be necessary, but in the spirit of trying to replicate sunlight, I like to include bright visible light along with intense infrared and UVB over the basking area.

Well he has been crazy the last few days it's great to see him back to normal :) just need him to start eating again and then all will be good :) we have put his halogen bulb back in today so his normal basking spot is bright and hot 🔥

I agree, but i supplement by adding in a normal florescent light. Its only purpose is to brighten things up.

The basking side of my tank isn't getting up to the suggested 100degrees. Does that mean I need to get a new basking light?
